In honor of Dr. WU Chun Ho, Jack, IDC, Bhubaneswar has established the "WU Chun Ho, Jack Endowment Award” from the academic year 2024-25. Dr. Wu excels in his role at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as a seasoned researcher with over a decade of professional experience. His extensive expertise is built on a solid foundation of numerous roles held at the university, contributing significantly to his reputation. Throughout his career, Dr. Wu has collaborated closely with industrial partners, offering invaluable support in formulating business strategies, improving operations, and driving new product development. His accomplishments have earned him several prestigious accolades, including the Big Data Analysis Award from the China & Hong Kong Enterprise Market Development Association in 2014, the Best Reviewer Award for the journal Internet Research in 2016, and the Outstanding Paper Award from Emerald Literati Network Awards in 2019. Dr. Wu stays at the forefront of his field through active membership in the IEEE, HKSQ as a senior member, and holding certifications such as PMP, CBAP, CCSK, CEP, and SSBB. Looking ahead, he remains committed to advancing his research in the areas of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), as well as smart logistics and manufacturing. In memory of Late Chintamani Patnaik, his family members have generously installed an Endowment Award from the academic year 2024-25 to be given to the student of Interscience Degree College, who will secure Highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in the First year of BCA Program. The winner of this award shall receive a Citation and Certificate.
Late Shri Chintamani Patnaik, a distinguished civil engineer, earned his Diploma in Civil Engineering as the Gold Medalist from Jharsuguda Engineering School in 1960, being part of its first batch of diploma holders. His career, spanning over 35 years in the Public Works Department of the Government of Odisha, was marked by unwavering dedication and an exceptional commitment to public service. Known for his simplicity and holistic approach to life, Shri Patnaik lived with integrity and ethical values, leaving a lasting impact on both his profession and the communities he served.
